What we collect
- Account details: your email address.
- Subscription details: your plan, subscription status and billing dates. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Newsletter: the email address you subscribe with and whether you've confirmed it.
- Sharing: when you share a story, which story and which share option you used (and your account, if you're signed in). When someone opens a shared link, we count the visit with an anonymous browser ID and note if they create an account, so we can see how sharing helps Baseline grow. We don't track you on other sites.
- Your activity: article links you submit to Baseline It, your saved ZIP code for local news, and error reports you send.
- Technical data: basic logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.
How we use it
To run your account, deliver the features of your plan, send the newsletter you asked for, process payments, prevent abuse, fix errors, and improve Baseline. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Article links you submit
When you submit a link to Baseline It, the link and the resulting baseline are saved and shared in the Pro Library, where Pro subscribers can browse and open them. Who submitted a link is never shown to anyone.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help run Baseline: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI research; we send article links and news content, not your personal details). [Confirm list and add data-processing agreements.]
Cookies

Your choices and rights

- Delete your account and personal data anytime from your account page.

Retention
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within [30] days, except billing records we must keep for tax purposes.
Children
